London zen groups meet regularly to practice zazen - the core practice in the Soto Zen tradition.
Zazen is a form of meditation - it is wholehearted upright sitting. We sit as the Buddha sat, silent and still in the calm posture of awakening.
Beginners are always welcome! See Introductions for more information.
"It is too clear and so it is hard to see.
A dunce once searched for a fire with a lighted lantern..
Had he known what fire was,.
He could have cooked his rice much sooner."
~ Joshu Washes the Bowl, The Gateless Gate #7
